Owner operator of GSGI, a former tactical instructor at the Advanced HRT Instructors program at Eastern Michigan
University, a former tactical instructor at Gunsite Training Center and participant in Illinois University's Police Training
Institute’s Master Instructor program.

His martial
arts background began in 1973. Since that time he has earned Black Belts in four different arts and has trained in numerous
others. He has had the opportunity to train in Japan for two extended periods at the Yoshinkan Aikido Hombu Dojo. This
is the same location that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Riot Squads are required to train; he has studied under such
notable instructors as Daniel Inosanto and members of the Gracie family.
